Amybeth McNulty stars as Anne, a 13-year-old who has endured an abusive childhood in orphanages and the houses of strangers. The story begins in the 1890s, when Anne is sent away to live with aging siblings Marilla as well as Matthew Cuthbert who live on Prince Edward Island.
