Huston's parents were film director John Huston - himself the son of actor Walter Huston - and ballerina Enrica SOMA. Huston's family moved from California in 1953 to County Wicklow. The following year, they moved at a manor house in County Galway. Huston spent much of her childhood at the isolated estate. Her father would spend long hours away working on filming sets. Soma went away in 1962 and she moved with her two children to London. Huston dropped out of school in the year 1968. A sluggish student, she seemed more engaged in politics at the moment.
